Cobra Starship-Hot Mess
Fueled by Ramen

Tihs isn't terrible. I can bear it right now, though I have a feeling that I will get sick of these wallet fattening fluff dance pop sooner rather than later. The third full length from Gabe Saporta is similar to the previous songs that he has written for this project, though Hot Mess seems more like a shot at Top 40 hip pop stardom than his material from the past. These songs have that potential, but I also can see them becoming songs that people regret and/or deny listening to years down the road.
There isn't a lot of depth to these songs, instead hoping that its simplicity and catchy, potentially ass shaking dance beats will sell enough units to get them on MTV Cribs. I can see that happening, and Cobra Starship being a huge hit with the tween and teen crowd. This is the music that is popular right now, so why not cash in?
